Our collaboration with Canadian marine mammal observer (MMO) trainer, Edgewise Environmental, ensures that our technology is optimized for practical applications. In collaboration, we offer training that enhances MMO skills, making mitigation practices more efficient and cost-effective.
HOW IT WORKS
Whale Seeker has developed proprietary AI technology for marine mammal detection and is currently operationalizing it for real-time field use, while our training partner, Edgewise Environmental, develops monitoring protocols and training in the field.

Möbius Observer software processes data from the environment.

Möbius Observer notifies the MMO when a marine mammal is present. Our AI technology detects marine mammals in drone images.

The MMO reviews the detection and makes the appropriate decision. Image are stored and can be audited.
MÖBIUS MMO TRAINING
Our partner, Edgewise Environmental, will be offering Möbius Observer training as an add-on to their MMO (Marine Mammal Observer) courses in the spring. The program will include in-class theory, practical experience and assessment, drone pilot familiarization and Whale Seeker’s AI platform for real-time detection – Möbius Observer.​
